Collective DPE

Collective DPE for French apartment buildings

The DPE collectif rates a whole apartment building rather than a single flat. It gives co-owners a shared view of performance and feeds directly into planning communal works.

What we assess

Building envelope, collective systems, ventilation, distribution and controls. Where a copropriété has several stair cores or blocks, each is treated on its own merits.

  • Survey of the envelope and shared plant
  • Whole-building energy and climate labels
  • Recurring weak points identified
  • A basis for the communal works plan

Typical buildings in Western France

Coastal blocks exposed to wind and damp, 1960s-70s suburban buildings, and older historic-centre properties each require different recommendations rather than a standard template.

Frequently asked questions

Does a collective DPE replace my individual DPE?

No. When you sell or let your own flat, an individual DPE is still expected.

Who orders the collective DPE?

Usually the managing agent (syndic), once the co-owners have voted. We are happy to scope the work with the owners' council beforehand.
